The Kligman formula (corticosteroid, retinoic acid and hydroquinone mixture) is the most effective treatment, especially in its stabilized form (Chan et al., 2008). Chemical peels can be proposed, but the results are inconsistent, and post‐inflammation hyperpigmentation (PIH) is a frequent side effect.
